Brazil

Lilla has appointed Fernando Oliveira as director of international sales.

In his new role Oliveira will lead the sales and marketing, as well as public relations. Oliveira has been with Lilla for over 15 years and his market knowledge and experience will be instrumental in helping Lilla to improve its market presence.

Cia. Lilla has been building coffee roasting machines and complete roasting plants in Brazil since 1918. Much of the coffee consumed in Brazil is roasted in Lilla roasters. Lilla roasters are also popular in Japan, England, Indonesia, Bulgaria, South and Central America, Mexico and elsewhere.

Today, Lilla manufactures industrial size roasters with capacities of: 50, 75, 125, 150, 225, 300, 400, 625, 800, 1,250, 2,500 and 2,700 kg per hour. Lilla roasters are of conventional design, but with many features that separate them from other drum type batch roasters.

The roasters are completely smokeless, with no visible smoke nor noticeable odor in the surrounding atmosphere. No secondary smoke removal equipment, such as afterburners or catalytic converters, is required to meet the strictest air pollution control standards. High yield roasting can be done on the roaster when required, and the excellent and unique control of airflow produces an exceedingly even roast, especially pleasing to the specialty coffee trade where coffee is sold mostly in bean form. Roasting cycles are controlled and plant safety assured by a state-of-the-art computer system.
