China
In an interim performance report issued recently by UniIever chief executive Paul Polman, the makers of Lipton tea reported that its sales in China are continuing to grow “in single digit figures,” spurred by a growing preference for milky tea, the convenience of tea bags and trading up to pyramid bags.
He said that Unilever had beaten its sales targets for the last three months of 2010 and that the company was experiencing “continued momentum” in China.
