Czech Republic
Miko, the Euronext Brussels listed specialist in coffee service and plastic packaging, has announced its takeover of the company Excellent Plzen, located in the Czech Republic.
Excellent Plzen specializes in providing fairtrade products, mainly coffee and tea, to a commercial clientele. The company has decent commercial contacts, but was lacking a technical service to support its further expansion.
Technical service is precisely where the strength of Miko Kava lies, which has already been operating in the Czech Republic for 10 years. In addition, Miko’s own fairtrade brand Puro, which it launched a few years ago, logically complements Excellent Plzen’s product range. Miko’s intention with this takeover is to further consolidate its presence in offices and businesses in the Prague area.
Miko currently has a turnover of €466,000 (US$615,600) in the Czech Republic. The takeover will boost this figure by an additional €200,000.
