On May 1, the World EXPO in Shanghai opened its doors to the public and Crem International was deeply involved in the execution of this event as one of the official sponsors and the exclusive supplier of coffee and tea machinery to the Swedish pavilion.

The World EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, which will run until October 31, 2010, is expected to be the biggest EXPO ever. A total of 228 countries and international organizations have so far announced their participation. The organizers estimate that 70 million people will visit EXPO 2010 during its six month duration, with 95% of the visitors being Chinese.

Crem International, with head office in Arvika, Sweden, has in recent years acquired a number of companies and has a progressive development plan in Asia. Crem International has production in Sweden, Spain and China and sales companies in Norway, Germany and now also in England. The company manufactures and markets two brands - Expobar for espresso and Coffee Queen for all other coffee machines.

"This is a very important event for China and the world," said Georg Möller, Crem International c.e.o. "The Swedish participation and lead-theme of its pavilion - Spirit of Innovation – goes hand-in-hand with our dedication and commitment to the Chinese and Asian markets."

Crem International will be the exclusive supplier of coffee and tea machinery of the Swedish pavilion and also of the ‘Nordic Lighthouse’, a joint platform for Nordic business, design and culture during the World EXPO 2010.

"Our contribution to the Swedish and Nordic EXPO pavilions gives us not only a fantastic platform to reach out to our partners and clients, it is also an honor to be involved in the largest showcase of leading Swedish innovative companies ever held," added an enthusiastic Mikael By, managing director of Crem International Shanghai.

Crem International has launched new machines during the last year and due to the fact that the corporate group has a very strong product range it has not been affected by the recession as badly as some of its competitors. The R&D departments in Arvika, Sweden and Gandia, Spain are working under high pressure and will have several new concepts finished within a very short space of time.
